TAMRON’s First Canon RF Lens

The introduction of the 11-20mm F2.8 B060 Canon RF represents TAMRON’s first lens for the Canon RF mount.

TAMRON announced the development of the lens in April 2024 following requests from customers for lenses compatible with the Canon RF mount. The Canon RF version was subsequently announced for launch in November and became available on December 12, 2024.

The B060 was already established in other APS-C mirrorless systems, having previously launched for Sony E-mount in 2021 and Fujifilm X mount in 2023. The Canon RF version extends the same ultra-wide-angle F2.8 concept to Canon APS-C photographers.

11-20mm Ultra-Wide Perspective

The 11-20mm focal length range provides a highly versatile ultra-wide perspective for APS-C cameras.

High Optical Performance

Despite its compact dimensions, the B060 uses a sophisticated optical design.

The lens consists of 12 elements in 10 groups, including two GM (Glass-Molded Aspherical) elements, one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) element and two LD (Low Dispersion) elements. These specialized elements help control various optical aberrations and maintain high resolution across the image.

The lens also incorporates TAMRON’s BBAR-G2 coating, which helps minimize ghosting and flare.

RXD Autofocus for Still Images and Video

The 11-20mm F2.8 B060 uses TAMRON’s RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) autofocus system.

The B060 features a seven-blade circular diaphragm.
