Photo by Filipino photographer Kevin Roi Lopez, with the TAMRON 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 DI III RXD (Model A071) for Sony E-mount. One of his tasks in the Tourism, Culture, and the Arts Department of the City Government of Muntinlupa is to discover local artists who are making a name for themselves in their respective fields, and one of the artists is Maestro Rogelio B. Orobia, a talented painter. He photographed him in February 2024 for a profile in preparation for his solo exhibit.

Usage review from the photographer
I had the privilege of shooting this portrait of Chef Kim Sungbae, also known as Chef Kim or Chef Ryan, for his media launch as the new Executive Chef at The Bellevue Manila. This article featuring his appointment was recently published in Orange Magazine.

Chef Kim’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for The Bellevue Manila’s dining experience. The Bellevue Manila’s commitment to culinary excellence is further bolstered by the leadership of Arthur Cayanan in the Food & Beverage Department and Chef Wong Yew Wei’s culinary expertise. Together, they are set to elevate the hotel’s culinary offerings to new heights.
I also had the pleasure of capturing a portrait of Katiana Ang, the Marketing Officer of The Bellevue Manila, who plays a key role in promoting the hotel’s brand and culinary endeavors.

When my friend Jake Pelaez visited the Philippines this year, He contacted me and asked if we could do a portrait shoot. Jake is a well-known dance artist in Dubai, frequently performing on various stages there. He’s also one of my friends from when he was still in the Philippines. I shot this portrait using Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8 lens.

My recent photos, taken with the Tamron 50-400mm lens, were captured during my stay at the home care facility with my grandmother. With limited subjects available, I often found myself heading to the garden to practice shooting. I focused on the ordinary black birds around the area—the males were black, and the females were brown, at least from what I observed. I also tried photographing some flowers in the garden, but what I enjoyed the most was the Cherry Blossom season. The timing couldn’t have been better as the flowers were in full bloom, providing the perfect subject for my shots.
